Phil Bird CPAGB

This was my first photo taken way back in 1985 that ignited my interest in photography. Juggling a career with a large family wasn't conducive to my hobby and it was only when I retired in 2006 that things started to get serious. I bought myself a Canon 20D and a very thick book from Adobe on how to use Photoshop.

To say this hobby is addictive is an understatement. I just can't stop taking photos and it's given me an excuse to visit some fabulous places in the world. Nature is so diverse it never ceases to amaze me. I have included a few of my photos here showing some of the great places and things I have seen on my adventures.

I have been published in quite a few magazines such as Digital Photo, Photoplus, Sussex Life, Kent Life, Surrey Life etc and won a number of photo competitions.

I was also successful in achieving my LRPS with the Royal Photographic Society (no longer a member) and CPAGB with the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain recently. I also sell my Digital images through Alamy, 123RF, Canstock, Depositphotos and Shutterstock.

Thanks for looking at some of my favourite photos. I enjoy most subjects but particularly landscapes where the light and weather can make such a dramatic difference to the end result.
