Phil Bird LRPS CPAGB
This was my first photo taken way back in 1985 that ignited my interest in photography.
Juggling a career with a large family wasn't conducive to my hobby and it was only when I retired in 2006 that things started to get serious.
I bought myself a Canon 20D and a very thick book from Adobe on how to use Photoshop.
To say this hobby is addictive is an understatement. I just can't stop taking photos and it's given me an excuse to visit some fabulous places in the world. Nature is so diverse it never ceases to amaze me.
I have included a few of my photos here showing some of the great places and things I have seen on my adventures.
I have been published in quite a few magazines such as Digital Photo, Photoplus, Sussex Life, Kent Life, Surrey Life etc and won a number of photo competitions.
I was also successful in achieving my LRPS with the Royal Photographic Society (no longer a member) and CPAGB with the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain a few years ago.
I also sell my Digital images through Alamy, 123RF, Canstock, depositphotos, dreamtime, adobe (fotolia), PantherMedia, Pixta, Pond5, Shutterstock, YAYmicro and 500px.
You can find me on their websites as well as Flickr, Viewbug and Photocrowd.
Thanks for looking at some of my favourite photos. I enjoy most subjects but particularly landscapes where the light and weather can make such a dramatic difference to the end result.
Please contact me if there is anything which interests you.
